Background
Re-Imagined Radio has cast a listening ear to the legend of D.B. Cooper several times.
In 2018-2020, we offered the three-part "D.B. Cooper Saga," written and directed by Dan Wyatt.
In 2025 we summarized what has become the only unsolved case of air piracy in American passenger aviation history. We also answered the question, "What happened to D.B. Cooper?" with our adaption of Tom Vandel's original story, "The Last Interview." That all came together as "D.B. Cooper's Last Interview."
Now, we're offering an anthology of our Cooper episodes, all available with easy, any time access. For your listening pleasure. And, to keep the legend alive.

Significance
Following A Christmas Carol and The War of the Worlds, D.B. Cooper is the next most examined subject taken up by Re-Imagined Radio.
It's not that we condone his illegal acts. Or champion him as an agent of retribution. Instead, we like the persistence of this story. The way it has been taken up by knowledgable and novice alike to the point of becoming legendary.
The legend of D.B. Cooper sticks with us. Provides a framework of inquiry with its unanswered questions. And provides pride of place for those who live where the legend began.
Producer's Notes
D.B. Cooper is a legend in southwest Washington. Right up there with Mount St. Helens and among us like Bigfoot. Re-Imagined Radio humbly offers these fact and fiction filled episodes to highlight the man and his exploits as tribute to the staying power of true legend in a time when those who would be legendary are but lilliputian.
Our D.B. Cooper Anthology is unique. Not so much for its content. But rather for its suggested listening timeframe: during the month of November, with each episode listened to during a specific week of the month. A serial anthology, enjoyed over time, or in a fit of binge listening.
This anthology and its unique listening timeframe is a first step. Dreaming a future unhampered by the editors of practicality and affordability, Re-Imagined Radio sees an annual focus on D.B. Cooper. A "D.B. Cooper Festival," complete with presentations, performances, collections of lore and knowledge, and perverse pride knowing that any one of us might have seen Cooper in passing somewhere in southwest Washington.
